- vanilla extract (or use coffee extract for deeper flavour)
- coffee paste or coffee emulco for deeper flavour (optional)
- milk or water
- oil
- cake flour
- baking powder
- baking soda
For the meringue
- egg whites
- caster sugar
- cream of tartar
